La Maison de Montagne de Bretaye was built by the Swiss army in 1932 on the orders of General Henri Guisan.
After hosting Swiss soldiers for their military refresher courses and schoolchildren attending ski camps, the building was transformed into a mountain hotel in 2013.
Today, the hotel can accommodate 110 guests.
Three room categories are available:
- rooms with one single or twin beds and 'family' rooms with four to six beds, shared shower and WC on the same floor
- holiday apartment with three triple rooms, lounge with TV, equipped kitchen, private bathroom and WC
- dormitories sleeping four, six, eight and 22; bunk beds, shared showers and WC on the same floor
Hotel guests may dine in our restaurant, The Crazy Moose, on a half or full-board basis.
The only way to reach the hotel is by train from Villars. The Bouquetins stop is a 150-metre walk or ski away. Cars are not permitted in the area.
I hope you have a very pleasant stay.
